A "War Room Green Economy" has been launched in Rabat to promote an efficient ecosystem devoted to the development of green projects that create jobs and support national industry.

The Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC) revealed in its July report that 10,646 trademark applications and 1,647 patent applications were registered by OMPIC during the first seven months of 2021.

MOROCCO-UNITED KINGDOM: LAUNCH OF THE POOL-TANGER MED MARITIME LINE

The new shipping route will connect Morocco directly to the UK in 58 hours to transport goods, and will be operational by "the end of September, beginning of October". It will allow Moroccan products to access the British market directly and quickly, without transiting through the European continent.

"After the unprecedented recession of 2020, the outlook of the world economy counts on a recovery of up to 6.6% in 2021 and 4% in 2022", reveals the 13th meeting of the Coordination and Monitoring Committee on Systemic Risks. This Committee is composed of representatives from Bank Al-Maghrib (the Moroccan Central Bank), the Moroccan Capital Market Authority, the Insurance and Social Security Supervisory Authority, and the Treasury and External Finance Directorate.

The kick-off of the 18th edition of the International Exhibition of Call and Contact Centres in Morocco (SICCAM) was given Thursday in Agadir in the presence of 150 companies.

MOROCCO JOINS THE BIG LEAGUE OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL AND BIOTECHNOLOGICAL INDUSTRY

The sector made a decisive jump ahead towards its evolution on Monday, July 5, 2021 as several conventions were signed in front of HM King Mohammed VI at the Royal Palace in Fez. The project aims at manufacturing vaccines against Covid-19 and others with an investment of 500 million dollars, and involves several public and private Moroccan, Chinese and Swedish organisations. In the short term, the target is to reach a production capacity of 5 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine per month, before gradually increase this capacity in the medium term.

Morocco recorded the largest increase in textile exports to the EU since early 2021.  It is now ranked first supplier of this market. A 23% growth in Moroccan textile exports to Europe during the first six months of 2021.
